Have Some Pride

It’s certainly not love
Leave no room for doubt.
Doesn’t look like budding friendship either
So it shall be, day in and day out.

Though you might think so
Neither is it getting to know.
And if you’re unable to see
Retrospect, shall we?

While you maybe wise otherwise
But now, cloudy seem your eyes.
You may know how things ought to be
It ain’t anything like that, you see?

It’s not even a conversation,
If I may suggest.
It’s him and his good manners
Always at their best.

To him it might just be
Sole yapping from your side.
When it comes to him, O’ lady,
Why do you lose all your pride?

If he’s not initiated and only replied
Oh lady, have some pride!
Before you take another stride
Oh lady, have some pride!

Think several times
Since twice might not suffice.
Though he might seem nice
It doesn’t mean you two splice.

Of all the men you’ve met
Though he might seem the best.
If he’s not yours to be
There are plenty in the Sea.

To heart’s content, after you’ve cried
Oh lady, have some pride!
Forget the charming guy
And walk away with a head held high.

Oh lady, have some pride!
